… and above all for those young families who love the best of their country!

Best regards to everyone.

With sincere pleasure today we present to you the stichting (i.e. Dutch non-profit) "Lo Stivaletto” of Amsterdam (Netherlands), which does part of that circle of always young and intelligent contacts, who help us every day to look at our work with confidence and optimism.

Lo Stivaletto offers a rich program ofcourses and camps in Italian for ages 0 to 12, including

  • Paths focused onlanguage skills
  • Paths focused onartistic skills
  • Holiday camp4-10+ years
  • Workshop, cooking and more
  • Parties and Readingsaloud

The reasons that make us appreciate Lo Stivaletto have more than one root. Everyone knows what we at Easy Green Hosting do: ecological web hosting.
The intent was born from the desire to see a human being that is simply beautiful, simple and intelligent, accompanied by the concern of seeing everything vanish due to some too little altruistic interest. In fact, our drive comes from reflections and experiences made in our youth, such as that of feeling the coolness in the evening while cycling through an urban forest (https://www.easygreenhosting.com/ecologia/cera-una-volta-un-boschetto/), in the middle of a city during a hot Italian summer.

From Ecological Web Hosting in recent years something was born that was hoped for, but unexpected in its power: a network of people and projects who day after day fully experience an exquisitely human quality which in our opinion is particularly strong in Italy, namely the ability to see what is possible, to imagine it, to anticipate it and, above all, to give it shape and beauty. Lo Stivaletto does just that, in Amsterdam, through its play-educational courses and workshops.

The Netherlands is a nation that, a bit like Venice, has had to solve a major survival problem for centuries: water. Unlike Venice, however, for the Netherlands the risk is of losing not one city but between 26% and 60% of its territory, if we consider the areas that would be at risk of flooding, in addition to those already below the level of the sea. It is a constant threat that has led the Dutch to become a distinctly practical people, quick at problem solving and cohesive, as also told by Ruzbeh Ghofranian in his beautiful book Iralian, genesis of an Iranian Italian (www.ibs.it/iralian-genesi-di-iraniano-italiano-libro-ruzbeh-ghofranian/e/9788851602383).

Holland obviously also has some peculiarities compared to Italy.
The urban aesthetics of the center of Amsterdam is decidedly rich thanks to the ancient houses, but the new buildings in the peripheral neighborhoods are mostly prisms with a rectangular base, certainly very practical but decidedly not very virtuous and human relations are decidedly colder than those of the Mediterranean area.

Since birth, Italians have been immersed in the culture of the beautiful, the benevolent and the ironic, despite alternating representative drifts. Europe is a one-of-a-kind political-economic experiment: a democratic union of states with different languages and different cultures has never been seen before and it gives many people the opportunity to move easily to Amsterdam where there is a very thriving job market for services and a very high quality of life: the cities are full of trees and the services and civic sense are among the best in the world.

Italians who have the commitment to raise a family in Amsterdam know well what it means to deal with the worry of not being able to offer their children that social and human something that Northern European societies have so different from theirs and the Stivaletto represents a resource excellent for meeting that need.

Lo Stivaletto is founded and managed by an exquisitely Italian staff. Weekly courses are offered for their children in music (or more precisely "musicality"), literature so that they learn to read, write and invent fairy tales, general culture, cooking and do-it-yourself, as well as annual initiatives such as summer camps, the October camps and first aid workshops for adults, all with that fantastic savoir faire that distinguishes the country.
