Dear Reader, dear Reader,
I return to write with an update regarding the activities of our favorite ODV (volunteer association), Spiritus Mundi.
A few days ago we "welded" our commitment to the environment by supporting Spiritus Mundi with 5% of last year's income and this year we are working on new initiatives, both of a community nature such as support for associations such as Spiritus Mundi , which is informative in nature, with the newly created column "between saying and doing", which has the aim of stimulating discussion on environmental protection in order to give vitality to the debate, so that it can inspire and motivate.
Let's remember that if left untreated, environmental degradation could make our planet largely uninhabitable and perhaps we should be a little careful!
THE NEW SPIRITUS MUNDI PROJECTS
Giliola of Spiritus Mundi, whom we greet with affection, has informed us that 2 new projects are planned this year, but we cannot yet disclose the location of them, as the association has not yet received the definitive green light from the municipalities, which is expected in any case soon.
Spiritus Mundi is for us an absolute model of environmental association. Not only does it plant new trees in impoverished areas, but it does so wisely
- selecting native plants;
- using a planting process that guarantees the right natural selection: more or less 50% of the trees survive, as it should be and as we were kindly advised explained by Dr. Niccolo Marchi, Forestry Doctor and Spiritus Mundi volunteer;
- by involving the community in planting trees;
- guaranteeing the survival of the forests with agreements signed by the municipal administrations.
All this will be described on the new spiritus mundi website, on the "how we work" page which will be published in a few days in the new version of the website spiritusmundi.eu
THE PLANNED DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES
In addition to activities directly linked to environmental recovery, the association organizes information events that stimulate the participation and interest of members, supporters, local administrations and sponsors.
There are activities planned for the month of March that have not yet been announced and for the moment we are all invited on February 24th to the "walk in the first forest"
“The living forest of Polverara is the first system that we created, 5 years ago now, way back in 2018.

Today the saplings, once slender, small and less than 40 cm tall, on average exceed 2.5/3 meters each.“
