We will see our mail delivered to other email addresses
What is a mail forward?
Simply put, a “mail forward” redirects incoming email to one or more additional email addresses.
This operation is very useful when you want, for example, to receive mail both on your official address, usually info@, and on a personal account that we check more often or to which we have given authorization to send messages in the name of info@ , as is possible with gmail.
How to add an email message forwarder
Also in this case the cPanel makes our lives easier!
From the email section I click “Forwarders”
If I have multiple domains, select the desired one and click “Add Forwarder”
At this point it will be sufficient to indicate the address whose emails we want to redirect and the destination address
And that's it.

AN UPDATE ON REDIRECTS TO GMAIL
For some time we have realized that setting up mail redirects to Gmail can create reception problems on Gmail.
This happens for example when the message is generated by a contact form on a site that does not use a plugin for authentication on the mail server of the address from which the message is sent.
For example, if on my site I have a form that sends notifications from wordpress@ilmiosito.com to info@ilmiosito.com and in doing so the message is generated by WordPress without authentication in the ilmiosito.com mail server, then Gmail can reject the message redirected from info@ilmiosito.com to ilmioaccount@gmail.com, detecting an "unsafe" message.
The solutions in this case are:
- install a wordpress authentication plugin on your mail server, such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
- instead of setting a redirect to gmail in your cpanel, set gmail to "pick up" mail from info@ilmiosito.com
Both solutions are valid.
